Introduction to Computer Science II

Welcome! This is the main Wiki web for Computer Science 102, Introduction to Computer Science II, Spring 2003. This course web site will include our course schedule and links to all of the laboratory assignments. Furthermore, students will use this site to post responses to homework assignments. During laboratory assignments and the final projects, students will use the course web site to record their difficulties and experiences.
If you are a student in this course, make sure that you use the Course Register to as a starting point to make a page that describes yourself. When you complete work for the course in laboratory notebooks or in homework responses, make sure you sign your name. This will make it easier for readers of your responses to determine who crafted the response.
Since this is a separate Wiki, you might want to return to Instructor Kapfhammer's Site.
Course Syllabus includes details about the Instructor's office hours, the coursepack, and other important information.
Class Schedule includes a listing of all the articles that will be read during the semester. This material is broken into specific subject areas and then this is further broken into specific articles with direct links to homework assignments. The homework assignments are embedded inside of this schedule!
Laboratory Listing includes a pointer to each of the laboratory assignments. This also includes a location for each group to post their laboratory notebooks and a collaborative discussion area for the entire class.
Final Project includes the statement of the final project and a discussion area where students can ask questions of each other or the Instructor.
Book Reviews include pointers to the book reviews that can be conducted by students to earn one pass for the "question of the day." Book reviews must be posted before a student can claim them in a class session!
Course Mailing List will be used for class-wide announcements only and is expected to be relatively low traffic.
Ask DrJava: General Questions and Answers about Java is a forum where you can ask general questions about Java during the remainder of the semester. The first questions will be based upon those that were submitted on the Course Feedback Form.
